This wonderful apartment is literally our top apartment, being the highest in altitude. It is our most quiet, cozy mountain vacation space with the best views. The apartment consists of 700 square feet on the upper floor of Chalet Alta. It has a spacious vaulted open beam wood ceiling and large windows. A glazed entry door plus a sliding glass door access the wrap around balcony with views across the Lauterbrunnen Valley to the Eiger North Face and Jungfrau Massif to the East and the glacier-encrusted Ebnefluh to the South. There is a table with chairs on the balcony so you can absorb the stunning views with your morning coffee or evening wine while watching the chamois saunter past the chalet.

The living room has a sofa, coffee table, two comfortable leather chairs and a cable (free) TV mounted on the wall. Located next to the living area is a nice wood dining table which seats up to six people. There is also a wood-burning stove and stone chimney. In an alcove of the living room is a queen sized wall bed/Murphy Bed (160cm x 200cm). Near this is a granite bar with bar stools, where three people can perch and chat comfortably with the cook! The full kitchen has a dishwasher, a four-burner glass topped stove with an oven, and a fridge with a freezer. Over the kitchen sink is a window looking north and over the stove is a window looking toward the Eiger North Wall so the cook can be awed even while cooking!

The Master Bedroom has a King bed (200cm x 190cm), a desk, night tables with lamps, chairs plus two walk-in closets in the hallway leading to the bathroom. Its two windows look north and west. The bathroom includes a shower and a bathtub, plus a separate WC with a wash basin. A small desk and work space, well lit with more view windows, is positioned near the back door entry area. One can ski/board directly to the ski lockers at the back door! In the front, on the ground level, you will have access to an outside patio area with a BBQ and sheltered seating area. With the windows open in the summer, you might be lulled to sleep by the glory of the nearby Aegerten stream. You will revel in the peace, privacy, beauty and spaciousness of this wonderful apartment.
